Beethoven virus centers around a town orchestra conducted by Kang Gun-Woo who is a world-renowned orchestra maestro. Despite his prestige, his players are fearful of him as he is difficult to work with. Kang is incredibly arrogant about his musical ability and insults those who can't match his perfection. On the other hand, he has a strong jealousy and dislike toward those who are naturally talented. A young cop who happens to share the same name -- Kang Gun-Woo -- has this natural musical talent. Even though he is unable to read music, the younger Kang has a great ability to play the trumpet. The two meet Du Ru-Mi who is a concert violinist who is suffering through symptoms of a tumor. The three work together to save a local orchestra, but become tangled in a love triangle along the way...
